We are looking for a Key Account Manager for key customers in the automotive sector in southern Germany.
Role :
As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for selling Tektronix products and services to a selected number of customers in Germany-Austria-Switzerland (DACH) and acting as the company's representative in all sales-oriented activities towards the customer.
As an account manager, you will also build and maintain strategic (quality) customer relationships. As a critical member of the sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans that exceed goals.
As a sales team member, you will also combine excellent sales skills, product and application knowledge, and effective resource management, with both sales support and factory staff, to provide exceptional service to our customers. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to succeed and possess communication, presentation, organizational and customer relations skills.
Your tasks :
• Maintaining an excellent relationship with the existing customer base, as well as the further development of customer relationships at all decision-making levels,
• Doers and influencers with assigned key customers (from laboratory engineers/technicians to senior decision-making level executives),
• Maintaining regular customer communication and developing a good understanding of important customer projects,
• Achieve and exceed sales targets based on a monthly plan and business objectives.
Qualifications :
• At least 5 years of experience as a key account manager, ideally in a test & measurement environment with a proven track record,
• Masters or technical degree in physics, electronics, electrical engineering or telecommunications engineering,
• Understanding of technology trends and turning points in the power and automotive markets
• Ability to profitably create, develop, manage and close business opportunities in a difficult competitive environment
• Ability to map the customer decision-making process and uncover potential customers' key buying influences
• Team player with a collaborative and strategic mindset
• Place of residence in Germany, ideally southern Germany
• Strong willingness to travel
• Strong negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills in German and English.
