Project Design Engineer

 Tasks 

  • Concept and detailed engineering of customer supply systems for the semiconductor/photovoltaic industry 

  • Design and planning of onsite nitrogen backup systems and bulk tank supply systems (nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide)  

  • Sizing and specification of valves/components and other equipment (tanks, evaporators, control systems, pipelines, routes, supports, etc.) 

  • Creation of P&IDs, installation plans, layout drawings, isometrics, drawing derivations and bills of quantities 

  • Creation of concepts and cost estimates together with the Project Manager Engineering   

  • Selection of suppliers, obtaining quotations related to the planning activities 

  • Support of business development/sales as well as the operations team  

 

Responsibility 

  • Planning and execution in accordance with legal requirements and taking into account Linde's internal standards 

  • On-time and cost-effective planning according to project plans 

  • Keep assembly/construction site time to a minimum (through detailed, correct planning)  

  • Identifying, identifying and implementing standardization opportunities 

  

Interfaces 

  • Linde: LEL Engineering/Operations, TGM Teams, LG/LEL SHEQ, Business Development/Vertrieb, CES 

  • External: Suppliers and customers on a technical level

Required Competencies 

  • In-depth expertise and many years of experience in the planning and design of gas supply systems 

  • Specialist knowledge and expertise in apparatus, fittings, valves, containers, pipes   

  • Expertise in the semiconductor industry (ultrapure gases, quality requirements and materials) 

  • Expertise with CAD systems (Microstation 3D, AutoCAD) 

  • Analytical Skills 

  • Proactive and motivating way of working for others 

  • Cooperation and solution-oriented work across departments 

  • Very good communication skills, both spoken and written 

 

Required Qualification 

·       Engineer (Master's, Bachelor's, Dipl.) in process/building technology, mechanical engineering or similar 

·       Very good CAD skills (Microstation, AutoCAD) 

·       Knowledge of guidelines and regulations (TRBS, Pressure Equipment Directive)  

·       Independent way of working and high degree of resilience 

·       Good IT skills 

·       Confident handling of MS Office applications 

·       Very good written and spoken German and English skills
